More About Dusty O's Work

“I have held several solo exhibitions. My first was a modest affair at an art cafe in North London 7 years ago. It was called “From Face to Canvas” to reflect my change in direction artistically. This was followed the following year by ‘We are all Non Binary’ which was shown in Brick Lane , East London.

I was then lucky enough to be invited to exhibit a solo show at Barcelona’s prestigious ‘Larticafe’ which was entitled ‘Colour By Numbers’ – a play on a less generous critique of my work.”

This was followed the next year by a show sponsored by Davenports Brewery at ‘The Custard Factory’ in Birmingham, which was entitled ‘Dragged Back To My Roots’.

The following year I became the first Queer artist to be invited to show at The Houses Of Parliament by a Birmingham M.P. The collection was entitled “Limp wrist – Iron fist” and attracted several hundred visitors on its first day and opened that year’s ‘Pride London’s’ calendar of events.

The next solo show was called ‘The Boy Who Sat By The Window’, and was held at the beautiful Brunswick Art Gallery in Bloomsbury.

More recently I am due to show in a group exhibition called “Three – many a mickle makes a muckle” at Brain Brun Gallery in Tokyo where I am showing all new pieces based on the theme of contrast.
